Aaltos by the day: which buffet falls on your night

I like a restaurant that tells you what it will cook on Thursday. Aaltos does. The Club Regent location publishes its buffets by day of the week, and since most stays here are one or two nights tied to a show, it's worth matching dinner to your dates.

Every day	Restaurant open 7 am–9 pm.
Monday–Friday	Lunch buffet 11:30 am–2 pm.
Thursday	Chicken & Ribs dinner buffet, 5–8 pm. Soup, salad and dessert bar 5–8 pm.
Friday	Surf & Turf dinner buffet, 5–8 pm. Soup, salad and dessert bar 5–8 pm.
Saturday	Breakfast buffet 8–11 am. Classic Roast Beef dinner buffet 5–8 pm. Soup, salad and dessert bar 5–8 pm.
Sunday	Brunch buffet 10 am–2 pm. Homestyle Roasted Turkey dinner buffet 5–8 pm. Soup, salad and dessert bar 10 am–8 pm.

Reading the week

Thursday is the start of the dinner-buffet run, and the Dean Brody and The Reklaws concert on Thursday 12 November 2026 falls on a ribs night. Doors at 6 pm leave a comfortable hour if you sit down at five.

Friday brings surf and turf. The brand page says it comes with roast beef, seafood favourites and the usual buffet classics.

Saturday is the busiest food day: a breakfast buffet in the morning and roast beef in the evening.

Sunday is the long day — brunch until 2 pm, then the soup, salad and dessert bar running into the turkey dinner. Most Sunday shows on the calendar open doors at 6 pm, so a 5 pm turkey dinner lines up neatly.

Monday to Wednesday there's no themed dinner buffet listed; the restaurant is still open until 9 pm with its regular menu.

Breakfast, practically

Only Saturday has a breakfast buffet on the list, but the restaurant itself opens at 7 am every day. The brand page also mentions a weekday breakfast offer at Manitoba locations; I haven't printed its price because it's labelled "for a limited time" and will change.

Gift cards and rewards

Aaltos accepts Canad Inns gift cards. Canadvantage Rewards members earn one point per dollar on qualifying purchases and can redeem points for dining as well as rooms. If you stay at Canad Inns more than once a year, the programme is free to join.

In winter, a note on timing

The dinner buffets close at 8 pm. If you're driving in from Kenora or Brandon on a January afternoon and the roads are bad, call the restaurant at (204) 654-8490 rather than racing the clock on the Perimeter. The hotel's directions avoid downtown, but the Perimeter Highway still has to be driven.
