Accessibility: this website, and the buildings it describes

What we've done to make the guide usable, and what the hotel, casino and hall publish about access.

This website

  • Every page has a "skip to the content" link, one main heading and a logical heading order.
  • Text and buttons are designed for strong contrast; the type scales with your browser settings.
  • All images carry descriptive alternative text and are labelled as illustrations.
  • Form fields have visible labels. Dates are typed as YYYY-MM-DD so screen readers and phones handle them the same way.
  • Nothing autoplays. Animations are switched off if your system asks for reduced motion.
  • The page works without JavaScript: the request button simply takes you to the full request page.

If something doesn't work for you, write to hello@regentavenuestay.com and describe what happened. We'll fix it, or send you the information another way.

The hotel

Travel Manitoba's listing for the hotel names "Full wheelchair access" and "Roll-in Showers" among its amenities. The hotel's own page doesn't list accessible room types, so ask the desk to confirm a specific room for your dates.

The casino and Event Centre

Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries publishes a detailed list for the casino side:

  • Accessible parking; wheelchair access to the building, including slot machines and select table games.
  • Wheelchairs and walkers available to borrow; gender-neutral accessible washrooms.
  • Voice/TTY phones and a braille phone with enlarged numbers.
  • Service dog access; braille and tactile bingo cards with enlarged print; menus printed with minimum font sizes and colour contrast.
  • Staff help on request at the doors, with coats, with buffet selection, and to call a taxi or Handi-Transit.

The Event Centre has a ground-level entrance and a designated accessible seating area. Accessible seats for shows are sold through Ticketmaster using the "Accessible" toggle on the seat map.

The operator says it consults the Manitoba Disabilities Issues Office, the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities and the Manitoba League of Persons with Disabilities on its approach.

Where these facts come from

  1. Travel Manitoba — hotel listing
  2. Club Regent Casino — home page (ID, bag policy, accessibility)
  3. Club Regent Event Centre — theatre rentals (specifications)
  4. Canad Inns — Club Regent Casino Hotel page

Planning a night on Regent Avenue?

Tell the desk your dates and it will come back with what the hotel has open and what it costs that week — by email, usually within a business day. You decide after that; there is no deposit and no card number on this site.

When a request turns into a stay, the hotel or the booking partner pays us a commission; your rate is the same. Our business model · full request page

Ask for a room at Club Regent

Our booking desk checks availability with the hotel or a booking partner and answers by email. This is a request, not a reservation.

No card is asked for and nothing is reserved yet. If the stay goes ahead, the hotel or a booking partner pays this site a commission — you pay the hotel's own rate. How that works.

Thank you — your request reached the desk. Expect an email reply (usually within a business day) with what the hotel has for your dates and the current rate. Nothing is booked until you confirm.
