Money · in plain words
Our business model, in plain words
One source of income, stated once and repeated next to every form: a commission on confirmed stays.
Illustration, not a photograph of the hotel
A guide that doesn't say how it's paid invites the reader to guess. Here is the whole of it.
Where the money comes from
This site runs a small booking desk. When you send a room request, the desk checks availability and the current rate with the hotel or with a booking partner, and replies by email. If you go ahead and the stay is confirmed, the hotel or the booking partner that completes the reservation pays us a commission. You pay the hotel's rate. We never charge you a fee, and we never take a card number on this site.
If your request doesn't turn into a stay — you change your mind, the dates are full, the price doesn't suit — nobody pays anybody. That's fine. The answer is still yours to keep.
What we don't earn from
| Advertising | None. There are no ad networks on this site and no ad slots. |
|---|---|
| Affiliate links | None connected at the moment. Buttons to the hotel go to its official page with no tracking tags. |
| Paid reviews | Never. The hotel and the casino haven't paid for, seen or approved anything here. |
| Gambling operators | Nothing. We carry no gambling offers and earn nothing from anything that happens on a casino floor. |
| Your data | Not sold, not shared beyond what's needed to answer your request. |
If any of that changes — say we join a hotel-booking partner programme with tracked links — this page will say so first, and the links themselves will be labelled.
Does the commission bend the guide?
It could, which is why I'm telling you about it. The safeguards are simple. The verdict lists the hotel's weak points — no pool, no spa, not downtown — as plainly as its strengths. Every fact is linked to its source. And I tell some readers not to stay here at all; the verdict page says who should look elsewhere.
Booking directly instead
You don't need us. The official hotel page has a Book Now link, and the hotel's phone number is 1 (204) 667-5560. If you book directly, we earn nothing, and the guide is still free to read.
Who runs the site
Regent Avenue Stay is an independent publication that started in 2026. The domain was registered through Namecheap, Inc. on 31 October 2026, and the site is hosted on DigitalOcean in Toronto and served through Cloudflare. We're not a travel agency and not the hotel. Questions about money go to hello@regentavenuestay.com.
