Why a whole website about one hotel on Regent Avenue, and how it's put together.

Regent Avenue Stay covers a single hotel: the Canad Inns Destination Centre Club Regent Casino Hotel in Winnipeg. It started in 2026. I'm the editor, and the voice on these pages is mine.

Why one hotel

Because the questions people have about this place are specific. Is there a pool? (No.) Can I get from my room to the concert without going outside? (Yes.) What's on at Aaltos on a Friday? (Surf and turf.) General hotel sites answer those badly or not at all. A single-hotel guide can answer them properly, with a source next to each answer.

And because Winnipeg changes so much between January and July that one hotel deserves two readings.

How the facts are gathered

  • Second: the casino operator, Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries, on casinosofwinnipeg.com and its responsible-gambling sites.
  • Third: the city, the province, museums, festivals and The Forks.
  • Last: secondary sources like AAA's listing and Wikipedia — always named in the sentence where they're used.

Every page ends with a numbered list of its sources and the date they were checked. If something can't be found, the page says it isn't published rather than guessing.

What this site is not

It is not the hotel's official website, not a Canad Inns or Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries publication, and not a gambling site. It doesn't take bookings directly or hold your money. The images are AI illustrations, captioned as such, not photographs of the property.
