The Club Regent Event Centre, from seat to skywalk

The Event Centre opened its doors in 2014. Its owners describe it as designed "to provide a unique experience unlike anything offered in Winnipeg, the province or western Canada", which is the kind of sentence venues write about themselves. The specifications are more useful, so here they are.

Seats	1,300, in a tiered layout with a view of the stage from every seat.
Room	8,363 sq ft, plus a 4,090 sq ft pre-function area.
Dimensions	87 ft deep, 99 to 171 ft wide from stage to mezzanine; ceiling 24 ft.
Stage	Large recessed stage, screens, projectors and an in-house audio system.
Floor	Theatre seats fold away under the floor for banquets or a standing-room show.
Back of house	Three main-floor and two lower-level dressing rooms, a meet-and-greet room, a green room, two loading bays.
Access	Ground-level entrance and a designated accessible seating area.
Parking	900 covered stalls free to attendees, overflow outdoor parking, skywalk and elevator into the venue.

Tickets

The venue tells buyers to use the Club Regent or McPhillips Station Casino box offices, or Ticketmaster, and says it accepts no liability for tickets bought on the resale market. Accessible seats are sold through Ticketmaster with the "Accessible" toggle switched on in the seat map. Prices on the listings are "starting at", plus taxes and fees.

Shows are labelled either "All ages" or "18+" one by one. On the current calendar, Nurse Blake's comedy show on 15 November 2026 is the 18+ date; the rest are all ages.

A show night, step by step

1. Arrive by car and park in the covered parkade. The skywalk and elevator take you into the building.
2. Check in — AAA lists 4 pm — and drop your bag.
3. Eat at Aaltos from 5 pm if it's a buffet night, or order from the regular menu.
4. Doors are usually 6 pm or 7 pm, with the show an hour later.
5. Walk back to the room. No coat required, which in January is the whole point.

Winter and summer

The calendar is busiest in the cold months on the dates I can see — eight shows between 6 November and 13 December 2026, including two Christmas-themed nights. In summer, outdoor festivals compete for the same audiences; check the show calendar before assuming there's something on.

Renting the hall

Concerts, conventions, trade shows of up to 40 ten-by-ten booths, weddings and graduations all use the same room. The venue's Hospitality and Entertainment Services team answers at banquets@mbll.ca.
