Weddings, groups and meetings next door to your guests' rooms

Event planning at Club Regent involves two operators. The Club Regent Event Centre and the Jags Event Space belong to Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries. The hotel rooms belong to Canad Inns. You'll talk to both, and our desk can handle the rooms side if you'd like one reply instead of two.

Weddings

The venue says it will customise the floor plan, seating, lighting and décor, with meals by its executive chef and full bar service. You may bring your own wine and other alcohol; a corkage fee applies. Coat check is complimentary, and so is the covered parking for 900 cars — which, for a February wedding, may be the most appreciated line on the invitation.

The one rule to remember: Jags Event Space is 18+. A wedding with children on the guest list belongs in the main hall.

Graduations and celebrations

The Event Centre advertises turning a convocation ceremony into a dinner and dance in the same day, and lists retirement parties, socials, fundraisers, big birthdays, showers and anniversaries. The venue's inquiry form asks whether all attendees are 18+, whether meals are needed, the AV requirements and a budget band, so have those answers ready.

Conferences and meetings

Tiered theatre seating suits presentations; the seats retract under the floor for a banquet. The venue supplies production management, security, ticketing, stagehands and hospitality staff. For a two-day meeting with delegates from Brandon, Thunder Bay or Regina, the hotel next door means nobody has to drive between the session and their bed.

Group rooms through us

Tell the desk the event date, how many rooms of each type you'd like, and whether guests will pay individually. We'll ask the hotel what it can hold and pass the answer back in writing. If a group booking goes ahead through us, the hotel or a booking partner pays this site a commission; your guests pay the hotel's rate.
